Gambling is entertainment
Casino games are designed to be fun, but the house always has an edge in the long run. Treat any money you spend as the price of entertainment, never as an investment or a way to solve financial problems.
Simple rules for safer play
- Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
- Decide in advance how long you want to play.
- Never chase your losses by increasing your bets.
- Do not gamble when you are stressed, upset or under the influence of alcohol.
- Take regular breaks and balance gambling with other activities.
Warning signs
Gambling may be becoming a problem if you spend more money or time than you planned, borrow money to play, hide your gambling from others, feel restless when you are not playing or neglect work, studies or family because of gambling.
Tools that help you stay in control
| Tool | How it works |
|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Sets a maximum amount you can deposit per day, week or month |
| Session reminder | Reminds you how long you have been playing |
| Cooling-off period | Blocks your account for a short time, from 24 hours to several weeks |
| Self-exclusion | Closes your account for a long period or permanently |
At Dragon Money, these tools can be requested through customer support. If a limit is lowered, it usually takes effect immediately.
Where to get help
If you are worried about your own gambling or that of someone close to you, contact a support service such as GamCare. Advice is free and confidential, and talking to someone is often the first step towards regaining control.
Protecting minors
Gambling is only permitted for adults. Parents can use parental control software to block gambling websites on shared devices and should never leave accounts logged in.
